The Knedlo Zelo Wear crew wander through social­ist-era “kul­turní domy” across Czech towns — spaces once built for order and civic func­tion. Today, these plazas of gran­ite and exposed con­crete have become play­grounds. Through Varil­las’ lens, skate­board­ing reclaims the monu­ment­al archi­tec­ture, push­ing against both past con­trol and present neo­lib­er­al neg­lect. Fea­tur­ing Tonda Záhorka, Štěpán Janda, Vojta Freit­ag, Javi­er Varil­las, Michal Majer, and Kuba Novot­ný, Kul­turní Doom becomes more than a skate film: it’s a med­it­a­tion on how history’s fixed forms can be cracked open by move­ment, turn­ing con­trol into possibility.
