Glass — cine­mat­ic installation

Inside the old Astra Shoe Fact­ory, the Cinema Depart­ment will trans­form an aban­doned indus­tri­al site into a liv­ing cine­mat­ic install­a­tion. Pro­ject­ors and cam­er­as scat­ter­ing light onto reflect­ive sur­faces, boun­cing it through shift­ing lenses; sound cracks and mutates through hand­made elec­tron­ics. Noth­ing is stable: spaces are reima­gined, objects recast, and vis­it­ors become par­ti­cipants, reshap­ing the scene as they move. With Mon­teith McCol­lum, Chris­toph­er Rob­bins, Andrew Fran­gella, Bri­an Gray, and Ben­jamin Stone, the pro­ject echoes how skate­boarders rein­vent their envir­on­ment — find­ing pos­sib­il­ity in over­looked corners.
