Good Ground by Olly Todd

Olly Todd’s Good Ground (2026) is a book about love, family and the scope of life – and draws from his years as a pro skater. Like his first book Out for Air, it is scored with the haggard concrete of the UK, the earthy Cumbrian landscapes he came from, and the palm-lined streets of Los Angeles, where skating transplanted him in the noughties. As Nick Jensen puts it: ‘Through Todd’s words, a whole world and potential opens up, a distillation of experience that feels universal and intimate.’
Olly will be in conversation with Sam Buchan-Watts, whose writing on skateboarding can be found in Vice, Free, Dazed & Confused, Rough Trade, and the Palace Product Descriptions. Sam ran the Writing Towards Well-Being programme with the Ben Raemers Foundation.
