10 years of To Ni Hec video

Obsession 2009, Tomaž Šantl‘s To Ni Hec is one of the most influential skate videos in Balkan 2000s era. An amazing skating with an even more amazing soundtrack with the Film crew packed all together. We can’t choose a better place to celebrate its 10th birthday right here on Vladimir.

History will be written again on the 26th of September on Thursday night at the hotel Brioni in Fažana.

Expedition to I-ran by Original Copy

Original Copy is an ongoing experimental skateboard project by Zlatko Đogić (audio) and Tomaž Šantl (video). Each film stands by itself and includes various guests. Expedition to I-ran was initiated by Aleš Mačkovšek.

Can we adapt to the form of a present world to a slow and subjectivity of a skateboard? Can we confront skateboarder and architecture? Can we link reportage and musical? Is this possible? That is why the rock is whistling and the puppets and politicians are singing. It is a melancholic, passing by reality…

The screening will take place at the cinema Kino Valli in Pula on Saturday 29th.

Original Copy no. 4: The pigeon

Solsticij

This is the teaser for the new upcoming video under the working name Solsticij. Behind this project, stands Nikola Racan, from Fažana, who has been working on it for several years already.

It’s the first skate video from Croatia that goes beyond national boundaries and takes this task seriously, which means it’s not just another local skate video. You’ll catch the glimpse of the Croatian skate scene, but what really moves the whole project is the strength of one of the biggest social tools: skateboarding.

Tomaž Šantl: “Ask the Locals!”

This few sick photos by Tomaž Šantl telling you to come visit our Vladimir 2013 and enjoy new unexplored grounds like this old fortress build by Austrian-Hungarian empire in 19.century.

This fortress in now under national park Brijuni and entry is forbidden so it is real deal to skate it. You have to avoid local ranges, fences and wild animals in the area, try to sneak thru local paths and pass unnoticed. This fortress it is just one of 50 build around our home town area.
