Skate market is not so new of a concept for Vladimir as it is an extended version of what we had in previous editions of the festival. This year we have Palomino from the UK, Dumb skateboards from Italy, Absurd skateboards from Russia, Simple skateboards from Rijeka, Low Life from Zagreb, Marko Zubak from Rovinj and some new Vladimir goodies!
So if you are looking for some new t-shirts, hoodies, DVD’s, zines and more don’t miss out on this bundle of joy at the Brioni hotel in Fažana on Thursday 27th!
Solsticij is an independent skateboard film by Nikola Racan. Shot between 2012-2016 on various locations throughout Europe. It features over 70 skaters with full parts from Zoe Miloš, Tomaž Šantl, Aymeric Nocus, Robert Kocjan, Marko Zubak, Masaki Ui, Nino Jurlina, Elvis Butković and many more.
I really can’t speak highly enough of Nikola’s debut DVD release, it’s of my personal favourite videos of all time.

An independent film from Pekka Løvås shot entirely in Norway came out sometime last year. Shame we did not have a chance to introduce this video on the 2015 festival edition.
Sure filming a line at Paral-lel is probably funner than having two hoodies under a puffer jacket and trying to skate some ledge that won’t grind in downtown Oslo but the footage will never look as good to me. It’s all about being proud of where you’re from. Oh and also, I was broke.

Last summer a bunch of numerous Hungarians, the Rios crew, came to Pula for the VFF2015 to present their latest video. We received the edit just few minutes before announcing the official program, but it was without the title. Oleg and I came out with the name “Jönnek”, as we were writing the line-up here on the blog. Video is now online and you can watch it here!
Fifteen members of the crew stayed at already famous Oleg’s house in Fažana. It was their second trip to Croatia, but relatively short stay, so they didn’t wasted a minute. The outcome is skateboarding at it’s best, with a small glimpse into the festival mood and featuring Rios’ member of honor, Aymeric Nocus.
It was a great pleasure to have them here in Fažana and Pula for VFF 2015 and we are looking forward to see what will they come up with, for the next edition of the festival, VFF 2016!

This is the teaser for the new upcoming video under the working name Solsticij. Behind this project, stands Nikola Racan, from Fažana, who has been working on it for several years already.
It’s the first skate video from Croatia that goes beyond national boundaries and takes this task seriously, which means it’s not just another local skate video. You’ll catch the glimpse of the Croatian skate scene, but what really moves the whole project is the strength of one of the biggest social tools: skateboarding.
In 2013 at the former liqueur factory “Badel” we screened Grey Area, a film by Kaczmarczyk and Pawel Piotr Przybyl. Grey area is definitely worth watching, video is showing great Polish skate scene and beyond. If you want to support Kuba Kaczmarczyk for his grate work buy the DVD form this site or simply set your time dates this Friday 13 and enjoy it here.
